Friends of the CLS

The Centre for Lebanese Studies needs your help to keep its work at the forefront of current thinking and policy making for Lebanon and the Middle East.

By becoming a Friend of the Centre, you could take advantage of the Centre's resources and have access to leading thinkers and commentators. 
You could follow our Dinner Lecture series, receive regular updates about our activities and events and benefit from discounts on publications. 
Through membership of the Friends, you would be participating in the Centre's development as an invaluable worldwide resource and investing in one of Lebanon's most acclaimed institutions. 

Planned projects include updating and developing the CLS website, creating an internet discussion list for academics and thinkers focused on the Middle East and expanding the Visiting Fellows programme. 

Typically contributions are

o Best Friend £500/year
o Good Friend £250/year
o Friend £25-100/year
o Student £15/year

For contributions over £100, we will submit a Gift Aid claim to the Inland Revenue, which will enable us to recover 25% of the value of your gift, in addition to your original donation. There is therefore a real incentive for you to give as much as you are able to. Some companies match their employees’ contributions to charities or will make a proportional donation to the selected charity.  Please do verify whether that is the case of your employer and we will be only too happy to help
