The Centre for Lebanese Studies needs your help to keep its work at the forefront of current thinking and policy making for Lebanon and the Middle East.

By becoming a Friend, a Patron or a Sponsor of the Centre, you would be actively helping Lebanon whilst participating in the Centre’s development as an invaluable worldwide resource and investing in one of Lebanon’s most acclaimed institutions.

You could also take advantage of the Centre’s resources and have access to leading thinkers and commentators. Also, follow our Dinner Talk series, receive regular updates about our activities and events and benefit from discounts on publications.

On going projects for 2013:

  • Research on refugees in Syria
  • A Content analysis of civic textbook in Lebanon
  • Healing the Wounds of History Program.
  • Teachers’ leagues and syndicates role in reform

Typically contributions are:

  • Sponsors, of events, books and conferences: £10,000 to £50,000
  • Patrons: £5,000 – £10,000 per year
  • Friends:
    • Gold: £500 to £5,000 per year
    • Silver: £500 per year
    • Bronze: £100 to £500 per year
    • Friend: £25 to £100 per year
    • Student: £15 per year

Thanks to our Patrons, Sponsors and Friends we are able to carry on with original and serious research. Annually we receive between GBP 5,000 to GBP 10,000 per patron and sponsors vary between GBP 10,000 to GBP 50,000.

Alternatively, if you choose to sponsor any particular project, please advise us.

For contributions over £100, and if you are a UK tax payer, we will submit a Gift Aid claim to the Inland Revenue, which will enable the CLS to recover 25% of the value of your gift, in addition to your original donation. There is therefore a real incentive for you to give as much as you are able to. Some companies match their employees’ contributions to charities or will make a proportional donation to the selected charity. Please do verify whether that is the case of your employer and we will be only too happy to help.
